[WVZ Alert] Web video success stories...
This week's 'WebVideoZone.com Alert' from the =========================================================== Greetings, friend (is it too late to say "Happy New Year"?) I have an interesting story for you today that demonstrates how some WVZ members are using web video to increase sales, drive traffic, and build a passionate online community... When SiteSell.com president, Ken Evoy, recently ran a promotion called "The $10,000 'Why-I-Love-SBI! Video Contest," he called upon his customers to submit a video explaining why they loved using his company's service and being a member of his community. Ken anticipated a good response. But even he was surprised when more than 140 of his members, most of whom had little or no video production experience, submitted a video entry. Ken was simply thrilled about the quality and quantity of the submissions he received. As a result, instead of handing out awards for just 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, he gave out prizes to a total of 38 "winners"! But here's the best part: By utilizing the WVZ's 'Video Affiliate System,' Ken will soon be integrating those 38 videos into his affiliate program. This means that the thousands of people in his affiliate program will soon have the ability to add any of those prize winning videos to their own sites. This will enable them to earn commissions by referring new customers to SiteSell.com via the affiliate links built into the Web Video Players appearing on their sites. Many of the videos really were quite impressive. (In a future WVZ Alert, I'll show you where you can view them.) One of my favorites is from WVZ member, Josephine. So, what should you take away from this? - You don't have to be a professional video producer to create *effective* web videos. - Use video to tell your story and bring people together. - Take the time to educate, inform, entertain - and as Ken says, to "PREsell" your offerings.
