[WVZ Alert] Momma says buy more Google!

that rocked me to the core and convinced me that either: 1. The world is coming to end; or,
2. This whole web video thing is way out of control...
First... My father-in-law asked me for my opinion on Google's
recent $1.65 billion acquisition of YouTube. Which is more alarming: The fact that he used the word
"YouTube" and knows what it is, or that he actually wanted
my opinion - I don't yet know. Second... My mother called to tell me that Google's stock price was up
$36 on higher than expected earnings. As a Google stockholder (I think she owns at least 3 shares),
she's thrilled with her investment - not to mention the fact that
she now has something to talk about with her web geek of a son. Now listen, this isn't meant to be a rip on either of them. It's just that when people of my parent's generation start
making casual small talk about Google and YouTube, you suddenly
become aware of the fact that the world is changing before your
very eyes - and quickly. Don't blink. ===========================================================
