How to make your video player not look like a video player

There may be times when you would like to put a video on your web site and not have any viewer controls available. Now you can do it - here's how...

Here's an example of The Web Video Player™ with the player controls disabled:

As a Silver or Gold WebVideoZone member, you will now see the option to "Hide player controls?" when you create or edit a player configuration, ...

Selecting 'Yes' from the drop-down box will disable the player controls. The default setting is 'No.'

Disabling the controls eliminates the viewer's ability adjust the volume level, as well as stop, rewind/advance the video. So you should be careful how you use this feature.

And since there is no play button, you will need to use either the default 'click to play' button or a custom graphic that makes it easy for the viewer to start playing your video.

Another option is to use the 'Auto Start' (or delayed auto start) feature to trigger the video to automatically begin playing once the web page loads.

To make the player blend in with your site, or look less like an actual video player, be sure to turn off your player's border and match its background color with that of your web page.
