How to Create a Web Video Player™ with 3D Effects

There may be times when you would like to make your Web Video Player™ stand out from the page. Or, perhaps you'll want to make it blend in with the look and feel of your site...

The easiest way to accomplish this is by using a custom player background. Let's first take a look at a basic Web Video Player configuration without a custom background:

The player looks pretty good with a greenish-gray background color and fine black border. But let's now take that same player, and add a custom background to it:

See the difference? This one jumps out at you more, and probably would be better at grabbing attention and getting viewers to watch.

The secret is to place the video player 'on top' of a custom background image. You can use any image. For example, here's a borderless player with a white custom frame:

...and this is a borderless player with the branding buttons and player logo turned off. It utilizes a custom "TV" background image, and displays a text link at the bottom:
