[WVZ Alert] Where are the Real Opportunities in Web Video?
Joe's semi-weekly emailing to subscribers of
'WebVideoZone Alerts' and 'The HotBizz Report' September 6, 2006 Hello there... Well, summer's just about over here in New England.
And that means just one thing: Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer is available.
Yum-mee. My favorite. But it's only on the shelves for a few weeks, so grab
it while you can. Trust me on this. By the way, if you'd be interested in filming
"documentary style footage of beer-related
events/activities," then this is the gig for you:
http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/tfr/202913964.html (Oh, if only there were more hours in the day...) So what does this have to do with web video? Nothing, really.
But since it's Friday night and I'm currently enjoying one
(or two) right now, I thought you should know. (It helps
explain my writing.) Ok, on to bidness... The soaring popularity of web video continues to amaze me.
But not everyone can, or should, produce their own videos. So what does this mean? Big opportunity for those who are interested in video,
and the internet, in general. Simply put, now is a great
time to learn how to produce videos for the web. Why? Because demand for talented web video producers will soon
outstrip supply, if it doesn't already. Most products and services could benefit from a *good*
web video presentation. Whether it's a product demonstration,
video testimonial, direct response pitch, etc. - web video
*done well* can have dramatic and immediate results. In addition, Google recently incorporated video ads into
their AdWords advertising program. Does Google understand
internet advertising? Well, 99% of their multi-billion
dollar yearly revenue is derived from it. You bet they do. So, who's going to help the millions of businesses that
will eventually want to put video on their web sites?
And who's going to help them create all those Google
video ads? (aside from me, of course) "Knock knock?"
"Who's there?"
"Big fat."
"Big Fat who?"
"Big Fat Opportunity Staring Us Right in the Face." =================================================== This Week in The WebVideoZone... =================================================== Exciting news... We recently acquired the domain name WebVideoPlayer.com.
So from now on, the WebVideoZone Player will simply be
known as The Web Video Player (tm). Well, it's exciting
news to us, at least. Here's an example of what happens when someone decides to
add your video to their site using The Web Video Player's
"Add to Site" button:

and you have an affiliate program, you may be interested
in our Video Affiliate System (tm). I finally got around
to finishing the instructions this week:

to using The Web Video Player. I thought it was obvious.
I was wrong. This forced me to spell it out more clearly:
