Viral Video: SNL's "Lazy Sunday"

Lazy Sunday is a music video which was produced by, and originally aired on Saturday Night Live on December 17, 2005.

It stars SNL cast members Chris Parnell and Andy Samberg, and is set in New York City. The video shows Parnell and Samberg rapping about things they'd like to do on a lazy Sunday, such as buy cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery, or go see the movie, The Chronicles of Narnia.

It quickly became popular online due to its memorable one-liners, as well as its mocking of the over-commercialization of hip-hop.

After the film aired, it was posted to several Web sites, such as YouTube, where it was viewed more than five million times - before NBC Universal lawyers asked that it be removed. Nastygrams were sent to other video sites as well, resulting in its mass removal from the web. (So if the video doesn't display below, you know why.)
